Privacy Policy

How Skillenai handles account information, career content, Google sign-in data, and activity on our services.

Effective and last updated: October 22, 2026

1. Who we are and what this policy covers

Skillenai, LLC ("Skillenai", "we", "us", or "our") provides labor market intelligence, career tools, AI assistance, and related websites and APIs. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit skillenai.com, create an account, use our tools, or contact us. It also covers information about people in the public professional data used by the service.

If you use Skillenai through an employer or another organization, that organization may manage your access and information shared within its workspace. Its own policies may also apply.

2. Information we collect

Account and contact information: your name, email address, account identifiers, organization membership, preferences, and messages you send us. Password accounts use a password hash rather than a readable password.

Career content and AI interactions: resumes, work and education history, skills, career preferences, uploaded files, prompts, conversations, edits, and other content you choose to provide. Some tools can be used without an account; content and identifiers associated with those sessions may still be processed or stored to operate those tools.

Billing information: subscription and credit purchases, transaction and invoice records, and payment-provider identifiers. Stripe processes payment details; we do not store your full payment card number.

Device and usage information: IP address, browser and device details, referring pages, pages viewed, clicks, feature usage, timestamps, error logs, and security events. We use cookies and browser storage for sign-in, preferences, saved work, analytics, and abuse prevention.

Public and third-party information: job postings, professional profiles, skills, employment and education history, and related labor-market information from publicly available or licensed sources. This information may concern people who do not have a Skillenai account. A public professional profile is distinct from a private resume you upload.

3. Google sign-in

When you choose Continue with Google, Google sends us a signed identity credential containing your Google account identifier, email address, email-verification status, and basic profile information such as your name. We use the account identifier and verified email to create or find your account, link eligible existing accounts, authenticate you, and protect against fraud. We store your Google account identifier with your Skillenai account and use your name and email for your account profile.

This sign-in integration does not request access to Gmail messages, Google Drive files, contacts, or calendars. We do not receive your Google password. We do not keep Google access or refresh tokens for access to those services; Skillenai issues its own session credentials.

We do not sell Google sign-in data or use it for advertising. We share it only as needed with service providers supporting account operation and security, as required by law, or as otherwise described here consistently with Google's API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements where applicable.

You can remove Skillenai from your Google Account connections. That prevents future Google sign-in until you reconnect; it does not automatically delete information already stored in Skillenai. To request deletion of that information, contact us as described below.

4. How we use information

We use information to provide and personalize career analysis, resume tools, job search, AI assistance, labor-market research, and other requested features; maintain accounts and workspaces; process purchases; send service messages and requested alerts; respond to support requests; investigate errors and abuse; and improve service reliability and usability.

We may produce aggregate statistics about product usage and labor markets. Public data pages and search tools may display information from our professional and job datasets. Your private uploads are not made public merely because you use an analysis tool. Content you deliberately publish, share, or submit to a public area can be seen by its intended audience.

5. AI processing and service providers

When you use AI features, the relevant prompts, files, resume content, conversation context, and other inputs may be sent to AI providers to produce the requested result. Our infrastructure and AI services include Amazon Web Services, Anthropic, and OpenAI, depending on the feature. These providers process information under their applicable service terms and data protections. Avoid submitting sensitive information that is unnecessary for your request.

We also use providers for hosting and storage, payment processing (Stripe), analytics (PostHog), email delivery, and security and bot protection (including Cloudflare Turnstile). They receive information needed to perform their functions. Authorized personnel may access information for support, security, and service operation.

6. Cookies, analytics, and session replay

Our production website uses PostHog to measure page views, clicks, feature usage, and navigation, and to record session replays that help us understand problems with the interface. Analytics may be associated with your account after sign-in. Session replay can include page content and interactions; do not assume every item visible on a page is excluded from recordings.

You can control or clear cookies and browser storage through your browser settings and use browser tools to restrict analytics requests. Blocking storage or scripts may affect sign-in, saved work, or other features. We do not currently offer an in-product analytics preference center. Email subscriptions provide unsubscribe links; essential account and billing messages may still be sent.

7. When information is shared

In addition to our service providers, we share information with people or organizations you direct us to share it with, such as workspace members or the audience of content you publish. Public or licensed professional data may be available through our data products and APIs; private uploaded career content is not automatically included in those products.

We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or legal process, protect people or systems, investigate fraud, or enforce our terms. Information may also be transferred during a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to applicable protections and any legally required notice.

8. Storage, retention, and security

Information is processed in the United States and other locations where our providers operate. These locations may have different privacy laws from your location. Where required, applicable transfer safeguards must accompany international transfers.

We keep information for as long as needed for the purposes described here, including maintaining your account and saved work, meeting accounting and legal obligations, resolving disputes, and preventing abuse. Retention varies by the information and service involved. After deletion, limited records may remain where required for these purposes, and backup copies may persist until their normal replacement cycle.

We use access controls, encrypted connections, and other technical and organizational safeguards. No internet service or storage system can guarantee complete security.

9. Your choices and privacy requests

You can update available account and profile settings and remove content where a deletion control is provided. You may contact us to request access, correction, export, or deletion of your personal information, including information obtained through Google sign-in or a public professional source. Include enough detail for us to locate the information, but do not send passwords or identity documents in your initial request.

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may also have rights to restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, opt out of certain disclosures, appeal a request decision, or complain to a privacy regulator. We may need to verify your identity or authority before acting, and some requests may be subject to legal exceptions. We will not penalize you for exercising rights provided by law.

10. Children

Skillenai is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

11. Changes to this policy

We will update the date on this page when this policy changes. For material changes, we will provide additional notice where required, such as an in-product notice or email. Any new use requiring consent will be subject to that consent.

12. Contact

For privacy, deletion, or legal requests, email Skillenai, LLC at hi@skillenai.com. Identify your request as a privacy or legal request and include the account email or public profile URL involved.
